Me and my friends we go down to the water. We talk about getting older. We’re folding to the ocean. Stitch up my chest, cast my heart in a bottle. My body will walk up the shore till he finds it. I miss the warmth crawling up inside my skin. Looking at the sun, the pieces fall into place– this cityscape– I gotta burst out.
The fisherman feels a pulse on his line, reels in my heart like a call to the sky. But, he throws it for my own good. A god among men gives the task to the waves, left me a chance to learn from mistakes and be honest. Be honest. My feet are in the sand and my head's in the sky, but my heart's in the water as I justify the earth, the wind, the waves all to collide.
I salute to the fisherman, built an ark with my bare hands– said I’m done pitying my scars, set sail for my human heart. I salute to the fisherman, built an ark with my bare hands– said I’m done pitying my scars– can’t live as a human heartless.

Lost at Sea

Stars, do you believe
That all we see is lightyears away?
Earth, warmed by the sun
But look at how quickly light fades away
Give me a hand to hold in the rain
Oh in those moonshine seas
Oh when it's only me
Oh won't you talk to me?
Oh won't you talk to me?
Your voice
How it quiets mine
How you remind me
to search for the signs
Time, will pass by our eyes
Just like a silent ship in the night
As I try to catch it
With your hand in mine
Oh in those moonshine seas
Oh when it's only me
Oh won't you talk to me?
Oh won't you talk to me?
And when the sun burns up
Won't we all run for love
When there are moments left
Won't you let go of secrets kept
And when it all
Comes tumbling down
In this masquerade of sound
I'll be the first
To stand my ground
To keep you around
To keep you around
Hey, I want you to know
You shouldn't have to go it alone
No you can't mask your heart as a stone
No need to cross the sea
Just sway with the waves softly
Too deep to anchor down
So let our ships sail on out
Watch as our memories sink
Color the oceans blue
If we took less time to think
I bet that color could be more true
Young sailors cast their sails
Over our sunken tales
But our whispered words rise up
Up into halcyon
Orange and pink sunsets
Oh watch the night undress
And show us to moonshine seas
And as we take our last breath
Let's believe life after death
